Young people are rejecting religious faith in ever increasing numbers.
According to this article in The Guardian, Europe is marching "towards a post-Christian society."
"In most countries across Europe, people under thirty years of age are turning their backs on the myth and nonsense of Christianity," writes The Guardian.
"The survey of 16- to 29-year-olds found the Czech Republic is the least religious country in Europe, with 91% of that age group saying they have no religious affiliation. Between 70% and 80% of young adults in Estonia, Sweden and the Netherlands also categorise themselves as non-religious."
"The most religious country is Poland, where 17% of young adults define themselves as non-religious, followed by Lithuania with 25%"
Youth is seeing through the absurdity of Christianity, just like they did with the Emperor's new clothes.
In the end, youth will prevail but having observed Christianity both from the inside and the outside, I believe that as their numbers continue to dwindle and the Post-Christian Era becomes entrenched, they will become more and more polarised and militant minority. We haven't seen the last of them yet.
