How to Enter the RA/Dec. coordinates of a non-listed Object
Go to Smartfinder Menu by holding 'Mode' for 2 seconds. RA/Dec display appears.
Press 'Goto' “Object Position”. Coordinates appear.
Enter RA/Dec coordinates, by overwriting.
Then enter.

Name; Right Asc.: +xx.xx.x; Dec: +xx.xx

When slewing to a selected object, the LX-90 first slews to a nearby bright star.
Align the star in the centre of a high power eyepiece.
This can be an opportunity to recheck the focus before proceeding.
'Enter to Sync'.
How to Identify an Object
Centre an object in the eyepiece.
Select: Object\Identify.
How to Initiate a Spiral Search
After the telescope stops slewing to an object.
Hit the 'Goto' key.
Hit 'Mode' to stop.
How to Observe a Satellite.
Object\Satellite.
Scroll to select.
Scroll to read data: aos; los; followed by 'Alarm'.
'Enter' to set alarm for one minute before scheduled appearance.
Resume normal viewing.
When alarm goes off, goto Object\Satellite and scroll to selected satellite.
Hit 'Goto'
Telescope slews to position and countdown is displayed.
If scheduled appearance position is obstructed, hit 'Enter'. The scope slews along satellite path. Hit 'Enter' again when obstruction is cleared.
Countdown continues.
When satellite appears in Smartfinderfield of view, hit 'Enter' to start tracking.Use arrow keys to centre in smartfinder then view through telescope.
