Following my previous posts about my experience with an optical reducer, I am happy now that my purchase of an Optec Lepus telecompressor (complete with spacer tube) designed specifically for using a Canon EOS on a Meade LX-90 works very satisfactorily.
The first image shows the resultant test image with the telecompressor:

The next image was taken a few weeks earlier without the telecompressor:

The field of view has increased by around 40% which should prove very useful when imaging certain extended nebulae in the future.
This is the Televue compressor attached to my Canon 60D:

Here it is, fitted directly to the LX-90:
