The daily statistics page of Panoramio is broken. This what every Panoramio user sees today on their stats page.
I have no personal 'axe to grind' against Google but I am appalled at the way they are allowing the wonderful photo-sharing community site Panoramio to rot.
1. The daily statistics are broken and ignored. Every user's statistical graph looks like the above. Seven** days of daily photo stats were lost in Nov and Dec 2015. Ten** more days have been lost in January 2016 up to the 26th. Out of those, just one day's stats have been restored.
2. Whilst photos are still being approved for addition to Google Earth, none have become visible on GE since May 2015.
3. A limited selection of the approved images are appearing in Google Maps - but despite this no statistics appear on the Google Maps graph.
Panoramio's strength lies in its strong community and its binding relationship with Google Earth and (to a much lesser extent) Google Maps.
Google is unravelling it all and is treating Panoramio users with the highest disrespect by maintaining a silence about these oft-recurring deficiencies.
- Google: please explain to us what is going on. Have you lost control of your own product?
- Panoramians: please have your say by politely voicing your concern via the Google 'Send Feedback' option, top right of your Panoramio page.
Just imagine the outcry if Google lost control of its search engine!
