Last week we released, to a local newspaper, details of the Macarthur Astronomical Society plans to build a new observatory in the Dharawal National Park, South West Sydney.
The newspaper's Editor promised us front page headlines with follow up inside. On 10th October, he kept his promise, delivering us full coverage on pages 1, 3 and 4:

PAGE 4, the Editorial Column:
Jeff McGill, Editor of the Advertiser, is well known for playing a leading role in getting Dharawal declared a national park earlier this year and I know that the preservation of Dharawal National Park is very close to his heart. So I was a bit apprehensive when initially talking to him about our proposal. I need not have worried, Jeff is one of the most commonsense individuals on this planet. His support for our dream means a lot to us at MAS.
I cannot thank Jeff enough for writing such a fabulous lead article and Editorial column about our Society's vision for the future. What a ripper!
