A Christmas Eve message from Glitterland.
Mr. Ratzinger, CEO of the Roman Catholic Church (and also known as Pope Benedict XVI) presiding over Midnight Mass (at 10 pm) on Christmas Eve, delivered a homily which included this astonishing statement:
"Let us ask the Lord to help us see through the superficial glitter of this season".
Superficial glitter????? Have a look at this photo, apparently taken at the same Christmas Eve Spectacular at The Vatican Entertainment Centre.
Mr. Ratzinger exhibits all the trappings of superficial glitter. Except it's not superficial. It's real.
The robes, hats, jewels & gold-encrusted walking sticks; the splendid architecture, thrones, carvings & statues; the pomp, symbolism, titles, servants & the many other trappings of obscene wealth; the phaoronic splendour of his taxpayer-funded world tours. They even wheeled him up the aisle on a gold-plated billy-cart. He lives in Glitter Land. He is Mr. Glitter. Take away his glitter and there is nothing left.
Nothing, that is, apart from a covered up paedophile conspiracy.
Yet still he lectures us peasants - whose lives are empty of glitter except at this time - on how we should do the opposite of what he does.
