I was surprised but pleased to see the "No Religion" rise by 9.3%, I was half expecting the rate of increase to slow down. Instead the numbers in blue show that it seems to have accelerated!
The question is, how will State and Federal Governments acknowledge this groundswell against irrational beliefs? Will they follow America and start looking again at divisive religious privilege legislation?
How often do political leaders meet with leaders of humanist, atheist or secular organisations who represent the 38.9% who ticked "No Religion"? My bet is they don't and won't. They will continue to prioritise leaders of all religions.
Any religion is better than no religion for them - but the tipping point is coming.....
My previous post refers.
