Religion is becoming marginalised in Canada.
A new poll in Canada by IPSOS indicated that in 2017:
- 51% of respondents believed that religion does more harm than good in the world. (Up 7% from 44% in 2011).
- 24% of respondents said they believed religious people are better citizens. (Down 8% from 32% in 2011).
- 34% of respondents said that religion should play an important part in political life. (Down 11% from 45% in a similar poll twenty years ago).
- Nine out of ten respondents said they were “completely comfortable being around people who have different religious beliefs than me.”
The days of religion are numbered.
