Human nonsense:
THIS WEEK: Everything stops for a four day long weekend to commemorate the supposed temporary death of a mythical magician (Jesus Christ) who some people claim died to save us.
NEXT WEEK: Just a one day public holiday to commemorate One Hundred Thousand Australians who really did actually die to save us.
Perversely, the Easter festivities are celebrated by eating lots of chocolate and buns with a plus sign on them - and by religious leaders lecturing us about morality.
It's a strange world when four days are spent on mythical nonsense and only one day is offered to mark the bloody carnage, suffering, bravery, sacrifice and bereavement that occurred during two major world wars and other smaller ones.
