My pictures of tv coverage of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing.
It was the middle of the night in London, where I lived at the time. I was a young man when I took a series of pictures of the live tv coverage of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing.
Here are two of the photographs of my fuzzy tv screen showing the most momentous event in human history - landing on another world for the first time. The first one was taken as the American astronaut, Neil Armstrong, set foot on the Moon for the first time. The second one shows both Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on the Moon. It was early morning, 21st July 1969, UK time and a very memorable event in human history.
Why did I take pictures of the tv screen? I guess it was my own way of recording this amazing historic moment, as the entire world watched in amazement. The images are digitised now but I still keep the original prints.
