Thanks to some poorly researched tv programmes, a number of people have come to believe that the Apollo Moon landings forty years ago were a 'hoax' perpetrated by the US government. This is in spite of the fact that not one of the 400,000 people involved in the Apollo project has ever come forward to admit it.
The feeble evidence put forward to support the 'hoax theory', such as the flag moving, the lack of stars in the sky, non-parallel shadows, blah, blah, blah has all been totally discredited, yet the belief persists.
Well, the following evidence that the moon landings actually took place is absolutely, totally and overwhelmingly conclusive. It ends the argument. Full stop.
The Lunar Reconnaisance Orbiter launched in June 2009 and currently in orbit around the Moon has been taking images of all the Apollo landing sites. The pictures show the equipment left behind on the surface of the Moon, including the Lunar Lander Modules themselves and the shadows they cast.

Doubtless some crazy folks will still persist with the hoax 'theory' but that just goes to prove my own theory that so many humans - in their defence of extraordinary beliefs - will ignore the absence of believable supporting evidence; and also ignore conclusive evidence to the contary.
