Clouds.

So many of Macarthur Astronomical Society's night time astronomy field nights have been cancelled due to the weather and I bought a solar telescope so I could at least do a bit of astronomy during the day time.
Solar observing is no different to "normal" night time observing - both need cloud-free skies. I bought the telescope on 14th December 2011 and it is now 25th January 2012, since when we have experienced almost continuous cloud and plenty of rain. In exactly six weeks I have had just two decent opportunities to use it. Two days out of forty-two is a rotten success rate of less than 5%.
Sydney weather never used to be this bad. It's a cloudy afternoon as I write this, it's dingy and it's raining .
Which is why clouds cheese me off.
