Thank you for linking my column to your essay. Naturally, I agree with your views, except that I would add to your list of hopes that perhaps the next pope might also be a lesbian. I don't think that addition would worsen the odds by much. #;-)

Whilst we can all hope for a more sensitive shift in the Vatican, we also know that won't be coming.
